Installs well. Base really sticks to cabinet top where I installed over computer printer, scanner, etc. Problems with internal switch almost from beginning. Will not stay "on". Sometimes almost impossible to switch on. I think the product idea is good. LEDs bright considering limited power from small batteries. My unit has defective switch, which is sealed inside. Received mine as gift. Suggest immediate testing right after purchase so you can return when it won't work properly. Testing in manufacture....clearly was not effective.
